We aim to enrich student well-being and growth through inclusive social, educational events and support, working bees and fundraising initiatives, to help Elonera thrive.”

Join Friends of EMS

All parents, carers and interested community members are welcome and encouraged to join Friends of Elonera Montessori School (also referred to as ‘Friends’ or ‘FoEMS’).

Members get together on a regular basis to organise fundraising activities and social events. We’re open to support on all levels, whether it’s time, skills or resources. The more community involvement the better!

We love to welcome new friends! If you’d like to join FoEMS, please fill out the Friends application form , reach out to the committee members or come along to a meeting.

We meet up regularly with official meetings taking place on a term-by-term basis.

Monday week 3 of each term.

You don’t have to be able to come to all the meetings to become a member. FoEMS members are emailed meeting minutes and are connected via the FoEMS Compass Connect chat group.

Events

Friends hold lots of events throughout the year to help raise funds and foster a strong school community. From twilight markets to trivia nights, Easter egg hunts to meet-ups at the local park, there are lots of activities and events that take place.

How will I know about upcoming events?

There are a number of ways to keep an eye out for upcoming events, including the Friends Calendar of Events.

All events are also listed on the School’s Event page and School Calendar. Click onto each event to find out more information about the event and how you can volunteer or donate items.

Check your Compass App for notifications and updates and keep an eye out for the weekly Elmonti newsletter which has information about upcoming events and how you can get involved.

Volunteering

Volunteering at Elonera is a fantastic way to make friends and to help improve our school so it’s the best place for our kids to thrive and grow. But we can’t do it without our great team of volunteers.
